Starting, changing or winding down a company – plan the whole process
Registration is one part of a business decision, not the whole solution. Ownership, contracts, finances, administration and practical implementation need to fit together.
Start with the purpose
Is the change about a new business, a new owner, a sale or closing a company? Describe the goal and who must decide. Verksamt sets out different responsibilities and conditions for business structures. Assess the choice against the operation rather than selecting an option simply because it is easy to register.
Separate finance, legal matters and registration
Financial records may show assets, liabilities and payment flows. Contracts address other questions, while registration records certain formal matters. Ask for one engagement plan identifying the consultant's work and the parts requiring a lawyer, tax specialist or another appropriately qualified party.
Plan the operational transition
List banking relationships, customer and supplier contracts, staff, system access and upcoming reporting. Who is responsible on each side of a transfer date? Which records must be preserved and which parties need notice? Use current registration information, but do not assume that a name change automatically changes every contract.
Define the support and next step
Stämkoll's role may be to organise financial and administrative records and coordinate specialist questions. Discuss scope, cost, sequence and responsibility before implementation. This article does not decide which legal form, transfer structure or closure method suits an individual case; those decisions require assessment of the actual circumstances.
Discuss your needs
Agree the scope, expertise and responsibilities before an engagement begins.
Let’s talk about your business.
Tell us what you need help with, and we will discuss a suitable approach.
Sources and scope
